Job Title: Head of Finance and Performance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance and Performance to join our team at Pontoon. As a key member of our Online Leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and delivery of in-year financial and operating performance targets and long-term strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of qualified finance professionals and expert data analysts to oversee financial and operational KPIs, influencing business performance and supporting the development of long-term strategic plans.
  • Develop and evolve weekly performance walls and shape insight into clear actionable outcomes off the back of performance reporting.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the Online directors, understanding their longer-term objectives and analytical needs, prioritizing requirements, and ensuring resulting insights are shared widely, understood, and acted upon.
  • Identify areas where analytics can improve business performance, such as customer lifetime value, category performance, and seasonal trade.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to develop data structures required to deliver meaningful insights as new elements are launched to the customer proposition.
Requirements:
  • Experience partnering senior stakeholders.
  • Strong FP&A skills.
  • Experience working with big data sets.
  • Negotiation and prioritization skills.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Strategy development.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to tell compelling stories in a simple way.
