Job Title: Finance Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Business Partner to join our team at Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. As a key member of our finance team, you will provide financial advice and support to specific areas of the organisation, working closely with managers at all levels to improve existing processes and controls, strengthen governance, and continually improve the quality of information used to support the Council's decision making.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial advice and support to specific areas of the organisation, including the production of budget monitoring reports, contributing to the closure of accounts, and budget setting and financial planning.
  • Work closely with managers at all levels to improve existing processes and controls, strengthen governance, and continually improve the quality of information used to support the Council's decision making.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior managers, service managers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decisions, including budget monitoring, financial forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, working closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner and other stakeholders.
