Strategic Finance Partner

In this exciting opportunity, you will enhance the performance of our Convenience division, which includes over 2,000 stores and is continuously expanding. You will collaborate across various functions to implement comprehensive solutions, whether it involves partnering with the Stores leadership team to refine operational frameworks, working with Product teams to boost sales, or coordinating with the Property team on new store developments, all driven by data-informed insights.

Your Responsibilities
Collaborating with the Stores leadership to formulate and execute strategies across three primary domains:
- Adopting a long-term perspective on our operational model to identify future risks and opportunities, including regulatory changes, technological advancements, and shifts in consumer behavior.
- Enhancing strategic insights across our UK Convenience Business, which encompasses over 2,000 express stores, 1,000 One Stop Stores, and approximately 7,000 Booker Retail Partners, including Premier, Londis, and Budgens symbols.
- Overseeing our ESSO business, partnering with the team to clarify the roles of these stores and their integration within the broader estate.
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Experience in finance, focusing on strategic priorities within large, complex organizations. Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders. Advanced financial analysis and modeling capabilities, with a knack for identifying trends and deriving actionable insights from data. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-driven environment and adept at managing complex challenges. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate action.
