Strategic Finance Partner for Clubcard

As the Strategic Finance Partner for Clubcard, you will deliver financial guidance to the Clubcard leadership team. This position provides a true opportunity for business collaboration, allowing you to significantly contribute to teams focused on innovative Clubcard projects that align with the future strategy of Clubcard. Your financial expertise will be essential from the initial stages of proposition development to the eventual launch.
Customer Finance holds a unique position, as no other finance division is as closely connected to the customer. Every analysis performed is examined through a customer perspective, prompting you to evaluate the potential effects on customer behavior—an approach that is fundamental to Tesco's operations.

Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the largest investment expenditure within the Customer sector, exceeding £400m. Collaborating with the Director and the broader Membership & Loyalty leadership team to support all aspects of financial decision-making and propel key business initiatives. Working alongside Trade and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) teams to enhance Sales performance across various activities, including Spend Stretch, Loyalty Card Mailer, and Clubcard challenges. Partnering with the Clubcard Reward team to assess scheme performance, aiding in the review and re-negotiation of terms with current and prospective Clubcard partners. Developing tracking and reporting mechanisms for other essential Clubcard propositions, such as Christmas Savers, Clubcard Plus subscriptions, and promotions with Tesco mobile. Collaborating with the FP&A and Control teams as part of Clubcard governance to update scheme metrics, including penetration, redemption, and breakage trends that may influence scheme costs. Engaging closely with the Customer Insight team and dunnhumby to analyze Clubcard propositions post-launch, providing support for tableau reporting dashboards or conducting quarterly performance deep dives for the Customer leadership team. Leading the preparation of Clubcard case papers for TAG and IC approvals.Qualifications
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in engaging and influencing senior colleagues across non-financial teams. Advanced financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and derive insights independently. Strong commercial awareness and a keen business acumen. Confidence and willingness to challenge colleagues, many of whom possess extensive experience in their respective fields.
