Strategic Finance Partner for Customer Initiatives

As the Strategic Finance Partner for Clubcard, you will deliver financial guidance to the Clubcard leadership team. This position provides a significant opportunity for business collaboration, allowing you to play a crucial role in teams focused on innovative Clubcard projects that align with the future strategy of Clubcard. Your financial acumen will be essential from the initial stages of proposition development to the launch phase.
Customer Finance stands out as it is the finance department closest to the customer. Every analysis we perform is viewed through a customer-centric lens, prompting you to evaluate the potential effects on customer behavior—an approach that is fundamental to Tesco's operations.

Key Responsibilities
Overseeing substantial investment expenditures within the Customer domain exceeding £400 million. Collaborating with the Director and the broader Membership & Loyalty leadership team, providing support on all financial decision-making aspects and advancing key business initiatives. Working alongside Trade and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) teams to enhance sales performance across various activities, including Spend Stretch, Loyalty Card Mailer, and Clubcard challenges. Partnering with the Clubcard Reward team to assess scheme performance, facilitating reviews and renegotiating terms with current and prospective Clubcard partners. Enhancing tracking and reporting for other essential Clubcard propositions, such as Christmas Savers, Clubcard Plus subscriptions, and promotions with Tesco mobile. Collaborating with FP&A and Control teams as part of Clubcard governance to update schemes, analyze penetration, redemption, and breakage trends that may affect scheme costs. Engaging closely with the Customer Insight team and dunnhumby to analyze Clubcard propositions post-launch, supporting tableau reporting dashboards or conducting quarterly performance deep dives for the Customer leadership team. Leading the preparation of Clubcard case papers for TAG and IC approvals.Qualifications
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in engaging and influencing senior colleagues across non-financial teams. Advanced financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights independently. Strong commercial awareness and a keen business perspective. Confidence and willingness to challenge colleagues, many of whom possess extensive experience in their respective fields.
