Strategic Finance Partner

In this exciting opportunity, you will enhance the performance of our Convenience division, which encompasses over 2,000 locations and continues to grow. You will collaborate across various departments to implement comprehensive solutions, whether that involves partnering with the Stores leadership team to refine operational frameworks, working with Product teams to boost sales in the format, or engaging with the Property team on the new store pipeline while optimizing cash returns from our core estate, all supported by data-driven insights.

Your Responsibilities
Collaborating with the Stores leadership to formulate and execute strategies across three primary areas:
- Adopting a long-term perspective on our operational model to identify future risks and opportunities, including increased regulations, technological advancements, or shifts in consumer behavior.
- Enhancing strategic thought processes across our UK Convenience Business, which includes over 2,000 express stores, 1,000 One Stop Stores, and approximately 7,000 Booker Retail Partners across Premier, Londis, and Budgens symbols.
- Managing our ESSO business in collaboration with the team to define the roles of these stores and their integration within the estate.
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Experience in finance with a focus on driving strategic priorities within large, complex organizations. Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders. Advanced financial analysis and modeling skills, with a knack for identifying trends and deriving actionable insights from data. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-driven environment and manage complex challenges. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and drive action.
