Junior IT Helpdesk Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Helpdesk to join our team at Sikla Group. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a final-year degree student or recently graduated individual to gain hands-on experience in IT support and develop valuable technical and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level IT support to the UK team, resolving technical issues and escalating complex problems to external and international teams.
  • Support with IT on- and off-boarding users, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Document procedures and flowcharts for common IT requests and issues.
  • Install and configure hardware and software, or coordinate with external and international teams.
  • Maintain IT stock hardware inventories and support the team with IT developments for new business projects.
  • Communicate proactively and openly with all departments, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user inquiries and problems.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled or finishing a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT support or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to pass technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent level of empathy and end-user satisfaction.
