Role Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Leasehold Officer to become a vital part of our team. This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment of 35 hours per week on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will engage in regular travel within the designated geographical area.

As a Leasehold Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective delivery of a high-quality residential management service and an exemplary customer experience across key housing developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an outstanding residential management service for a designated area of blocks and estates, being accountable to residents and stakeholders regarding the management of their homes, financial expenditures, and the services provided.
  • Oversee on-site management staff, such as concierges or caretakers, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and maintaining the quality of estates and buildings.
  • Conduct regular inspections of communal areas and public spaces to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards.
  • Monitor building maintenance systems and promptly address any alerts or issues.
  • Supervise contracted services, including cleaning, grounds maintenance, and security, ensuring they meet our standards.
  • Facilitate reactive repairs, asset compliance, and planned maintenance, utilizing expert support when necessary.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to prepare service charge estimates and manage budgets effectively, providing clear explanations to residents regarding charges.
  • Lead major work projects in collaboration with other teams and manage necessary consultations.
  • Ensure customer safety through monitoring referrals and reporting safeguarding concerns.
  • Engage with various teams and external suppliers to achieve excellent outcomes for residents.

Ideal Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in managing large or complex residential leasehold developments.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high levels of customer service and meet diverse customer expectations.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Landlord and Tenant Act and associated guidelines.
  • Capability to interpret and apply contractual and lease provisions effectively.
  • Experience in health and safety compliance.
  • Proven track record in recruiting, managing, and developing staff in a customer service environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum education level of Level 3 (A level or equivalent) or higher.
