Position Overview

The role involves organizing and executing essential administrative and clerical tasks associated with Radiotherapy and Radiation Protection Services.

The individual will support the Directorate Support Officer in delivering administrative assistance for the business support operations within Radiation Services.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for providing clerical and administrative support for the Radiotherapy and Radiation Protection Service.

Additionally, they will offer organizational assistance to the broader directorate team.

Flexibility in working hours may be required based on service demands.

Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this position; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE grade C or above in mathematics and English, or equivalent qualifications
  • NVQ level 3 in a relevant field or A Level equivalent
  • ECDL qualification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with various administrative, clerical, secretarial, and technical work procedures
  • Strong understanding of administrative and secretarial practices (e.g., document formatting, filing systems)

Desirable Qualifications

  • RSA3 or equivalent
  • Experience in NHS administration
  • General knowledge of healthcare systems

  • Experience in maintaining computerized and paper record-keeping systems
