About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reinsurance Broker to join our International Treaty team as an Associate Director. This is a key leadership role that will drive the growth of our business and provide strategic direction to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Growth:
    • Develop and implement team strategies to expand our International Treaty portfolio.
    • Identify and seize opportunities to grow our business and increase revenue.
    • Support new business initiatives and manage client renewals to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Participate in management meetings and contribute to the development of our company's overall strategy.
  • Technical Excellence:
    • Design and implement optimal reinsurance broking solutions for our clients.
    • Negotiate with markets to secure the best quality, service, and price for our clients.
    • Create and review reinsurance documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Mentor and support junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Client & Market Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and underwriters to drive business growth.
    • Stay informed about reinsurance market trends to enhance our service delivery and stay ahead of the competition.
    • Represent our company professionally and provide top-tier reinsurance services to our clients.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures to maintain high levels of operational efficiency.
    • Oversee administrative processes to maintain high service standards and ensure timely delivery of services.
    • Support team recruitment and development to ensure we have the right skills and expertise to drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in reinsurance broking, with a focus on P&C reinsurance.
  • Deep understanding of reinsurance market dynamics and product knowledge.
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Advanced understanding of the renewal and production cycle for our clients and prospects.
  • Leadership abilities to coach and mentor junior team members.
  • High level of numeracy, literacy, and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines to deliver high-quality results.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as ACII or FCA Level 1, are advantageous but not required.
