Property Facultative Reinsurance Broker

Aon is currently seeking a Broker to enhance our capabilities in the London market.

This position involves collaboration with our EMEA Facultative Property team, where you will assist Account Executives (AEs) and senior personnel in executing reinsurance transactions while proactively managing client and market-specific placements throughout the engagement lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include broking and placing risks within the Lloyd's and Company markets, focusing on Wholesale risks across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage with colleagues and clients on various Property facultative reinsurance matters, including:
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with market participants
  • Ensuring timely production of placement documentation and reviewing materials prior to market engagement
  • Managing client expectations by communicating market dynamics and anticipated outcomes ahead of placement milestones
  • Identifying and developing new revenue opportunities in collaboration with AEs and client teams
  • Supporting the development and delivery of market presentations and broking strategies
  • Determining suitable channels for risk placement based on clients' security guidelines and requirements, while influencing the market to secure optimal deals
  • Advising clients and colleagues on placement design, available coverage, pricing, potential enhancements, and market progress
Qualifications for Success
  • Experience in reinsurance broking or underwriting, including project and account management
  • Familiarity with the London Market
  • Proficiency in English (high level) and preferably another European language (German preferred)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication abilities and adept at managing internal and external relationships
  • Ability to consider the underwriter's perspective to adapt strategies
  • Commitment to Research & Development to identify new products and solutions for client needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
