This position will collaborate with our EMEA Facultative Property team, providing support to Account Executives (AEs) and senior team members in executing reinsurance transactions. You will play a crucial role in managing client and market-specific placements and projects throughout their engagement lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include broking and placing risks into Lloyd's and Company markets, focusing on Wholesale risks across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage with colleagues and clients on various Property facultative reinsurance matters, including:
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with market stakeholders
  • Ensuring timely production of placement documentation and reviewing materials before market engagement
  • Managing client expectations by effectively communicating market dynamics and anticipated outcomes
  • Identifying and developing new revenue opportunities alongside AEs and client teams
  • Supporting the creation and delivery of market presentations and broking strategies
  • Determining suitable channels for risk placement in accordance with clients' security guidelines and requirements, while influencing the market to secure optimal deals
  • Advising clients and colleagues on placement design, coverage options, pricing, potential enhancements, and market progress
Qualifications for Success
  • Experience in reinsurance broking or underwriting, including project and account management
  • Background in the London Market
  • Proficiency in English (high level) and preferably another European language (German preferred)
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication abilities, comfortable managing internal and external relationships
  • Ability to consider the underwriter's perspective to adapt strategies
  • Commitment to Research & Development to discover new products and solutions for clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
