Position Overview:
The primary objective of this role is to ensure the effective collection of all outstanding payments owed to Informa, adhering to established collection policies and procedures. This is crucial for meeting collection targets and minimizing bad debts from customers who have surpassed their credit limits or terms.

Customer Interaction:
It is essential to maintain a professional, efficient, and knowledgeable interface with both customers and colleagues. You will be responsible for resolving customer inquiries and collecting payments within the agreed credit terms while fostering and enhancing valuable customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Credit Controller will undertake the following key responsibilities, along with any other reasonable duties as assigned:

  • Highlighting the customer portal during outreach to clients.
  • Collecting all outstanding payments in accordance with credit control policies to meet collection targets.
  • Addressing payments from customers who have exceeded their credit limits or terms to reduce bad debts.
  • Building strong internal and external relationships with Sales teams and customers.
  • Ensuring that all customer interaction notes are accurately recorded and updated in the appropriate systems.
  • Managing outstanding sales balances and contacting customers for payment prior to relevant events.
  • Resolving queries promptly and collecting aged debts to minimize provisions for bad debts.
  • Handling simple disputes and escalating complex issues to the Team Leader.
  • Achieving monthly cash collection targets for assigned accounts.
  • Managing unallocated cash items and collaborating with the Cash Application team to apply funds when appropriate documentation is provided by the customer.
  • Providing weekly reports to the business regarding current debt levels as applicable.
  • Completing necessary documentation for customers to facilitate payment processing.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A solid understanding of customer operations processes.
  • Knowledge of best practices in customer service operations.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is preferred.
  • A recognized qualification in a relevant field is advantageous.
