About the Role

As a key player in our hospitality team, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional service in our Conference and Banqueting department. Your role will involve:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting directly to the Senior C&B Manager while collaborating closely with the Retail Manager.
  • Leading and managing a dynamic team of event staff.
  • Conducting daily briefings to engage team members and facilitate open communication.
  • Ensuring a consistently high standard of service is delivered.
  • Creating staff schedules that align with budgetary constraints and operational needs.
  • Training and developing team members, focusing on our unique guest experience program.
  • Identifying opportunities to exceed client expectations and enhance revenue.
  • Overseeing all aspects of event service from preparation through to execution.
  • Meeting with clients for weddings and events, including supervising tastings and detail discussions.
  • Managing bookings through our reservation systems, ensuring accuracy in client information.
  • Exploring upselling opportunities to maximize service offerings.
  • Maintaining high standards of service in a fast-paced environment, particularly for weddings, corporate events, and meetings.
  • Ordering necessary supplies for events and restaurant operations.
  • Ensuring all event requirements are met and that we are proactive in our service delivery.

  • Proven operational experience in a high-profile venue.
  • Ability to think strategically and react effectively to changing circumstances.
  • Experience in managing multiple events simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Excellent communication skills with management, team members, and clients.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Meticulous in maintaining accurate event documentation.
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Hands-on management style that promotes best practices in event execution.
  • Experience in guest recognition and profiling.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Possession of personal transportation due to location considerations.
