Lead Technical Educator

Role Overview:
In the capacity of a Senior Trainer at NATS, you will inspire and motivate knowledge sharing and skill enhancement, enabling individuals to achieve their fullest potential.
Your responsibilities will encompass delivering both business and technical training to Technical Services, Service Delivery teams, and external clients.
You will mentor engineers and colleagues in acquiring new technical competencies, adopting innovative practices to maximize individual performance.
Additionally, you will contribute to refining delivery methodologies, employing creative solutions to foster positive advancements in technical education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the development of individuals' technical capabilities.
- Maintain up-to-date training programs under your supervision, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Assist in crafting training materials that accurately reflect the operational application of services while aligning with operational and design requirements within budget constraints.
- Manage course workloads, inspire participants, and conduct ongoing assessments through both formative and summative methods.
- Tailor various teaching methodologies to accommodate diverse learning preferences, ensuring optimal opportunities for participants to achieve training goals.
- Verify that system documentation is current and relevant for training purposes, flagging any deficiencies to Service Designers.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to collaboratively develop and finalize training solutions.
- Meet organizational objectives by overseeing student engagement and activity.
- Connect with stakeholders by proposing training solutions that address the needs of both internal and external clients.
- Deliver training sessions in person or via online platforms.
- Travel may be required to various sites as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess a qualification of HND or equivalent in an engineering, science, or numerate discipline.
- Training and Instruction Qualification to Level 3 or equivalent is desirable.
- Individuals lacking a professional engineering qualification must have completed structured Engineering training (e.g., CAA Bletchley or an apprenticeship recognized by a professional body) and possess relevant engineering experience.
