Role Overview:

In the capacity of a Senior Trainer at NATS, you will inspire and motivate individuals through effective knowledge transfer and skill enhancement, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Your responsibilities will encompass delivering both business and technical training to our Technical Services and Service Delivery teams, as well as external clients.

You will guide engineers and colleagues in acquiring new technical competencies, fostering innovative approaches to maximize individual performance.

Additionally, you will play a key role in refining delivery methodologies, leveraging creative solutions to enhance technical education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development of technical skills among individuals.
  • Maintain up-to-date training programs, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Assist in the creation of training materials that accurately reflect operational requirements and comply with budgetary constraints.
  • Manage course assignments, inspire participants, and conduct ongoing assessments through both formative and summative methods.
  • Tailor various instructional methodologies to accommodate diverse learning preferences, ensuring optimal training outcomes.
  • Verify that system documentation is current and suitable for training purposes, reporting any gaps to Service Designers.
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to devise and agree upon effective training solutions.
  • Fulfill business objectives by overseeing student engagement to achieve set goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide training solutions that address the needs of both internal and external clients.
  • Deliver training sessions either in-person or via online platforms.
  • Travel may be required for site visits as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Possession of an HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering, science, or numerate discipline is essential.
  • A Training and Instruction Qualification at Level 3 or equivalent is desirable.
  • Individuals lacking a professional engineering qualification must have completed structured engineering training (e.g., CAA Bletchley or an apprenticeship recognized by a professional body) and possess relevant engineering experience.
