Role Overview:

In the capacity of a Senior Trainer at NATS, you will inspire and motivate knowledge transfer and skill enhancement, empowering individuals to achieve their fullest potential.

Your responsibilities will encompass delivering both business and technical training to Technical Services, Service Delivery teams, and external clients.

You will mentor engineers and colleagues in acquiring new technical competencies, adopting innovative practices to maximize individual performance.

Additionally, you will contribute to refining delivery methodologies, employing creative solutions to foster positive advancements in technical education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructing and mentoring individuals in technical skill development.
  • Ensuring that all training responsibilities are current, collaborating with stakeholders to verify adherence to regulations.
  • Assisting in the creation of training materials that accurately reflect the operational application of services and meet operational and design specifications within budget constraints.
  • Managing course workloads, motivating participants, and conducting ongoing assessments through both formative and summative methods.
  • Customizing various learning approaches to accommodate diverse learning styles, providing optimal opportunities for participants to achieve training goals.
  • Verifying that system documentation is up to date and suitable for training purposes, identifying any gaps to Service Designers.
  • Engaging with customers and stakeholders to develop and finalize training solutions.
  • Meeting organizational objectives by overseeing student engagement to fulfill agreed targets.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to offer training solutions that address the needs of both internal and external clients.
  • Delivering training sessions in person or via online platforms.
  • Travel may be required to various sites as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Possession of an HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering, science, or numerate discipline.
  • Training and Instruction Qualification at Level 3 or equivalent is desirable.
  • Individuals without a professional engineering qualification must have completed structured engineering training (e.g., CAA Bletchley or an apprenticeship recognized by a professional body) and possess relevant engineering experience.
