Position Summary

As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a vital role in our Flight Data Services team, which specializes in providing outsourced Flight Data Monitoring services to aircraft operators globally. Your contributions will be essential in delivering actionable insights that enhance safety and reduce operational costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand software development needs.
  • Design, implement, and enhance features based on customer requirements, adhering to established quality standards.
  • Maintain and optimize both internal and external software applications.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Utilize JIRA for effective task management and workload prioritization.
  • Apply agile methodologies and test-driven development in your projects.
  • Deliver training on proprietary software systems to internal and external users.
  • Ensure timely software releases that meet quality expectations.
  • Document technical processes and maintain quality assurance protocols.
  • Manage customer inquiries and technical issues efficiently.
  • Design and update software databases, including applications and user interfaces.
  • Test and recommend improvements for software functionality and performance.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis for system-related issues.
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications and project plans.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Python and familiarity with Django framework.
  • Experience with additional Python libraries such as NumPy or Pandas.
  • Understanding of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Solid knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Experience with cloud technologies is advantageous.
  • Proficient in version control systems like Git.
  • Experience working in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
