Trade Sales Executive

Air Transat, a prominent travel brand recognized as the World's Best Leisure Airline, is in search of a skilled and motivated Trade Sales Executive to oversee and enhance our UK+I trade operations.

This role, based in our London office with a hybrid working model, will report directly to the UK Commercial Director. You will collaborate closely with the entire team to nurture existing partnerships and pursue new business opportunities for the airline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing Trade Partner Accounts, including Online Travel Agencies, Leisure Agents, and Tour Operators.
  • Strengthening Air Transat's connections with Travel Management Companies and the corporate travel sector.
  • Formulating the Country's Sales Strategic Plan in conjunction with the Commercial Director.
  • Exceeding sales and revenue objectives.
  • Working cross-functionally to analyze pricing, market reach, and pertinent KPIs.
  • Drafting, negotiating, and managing annual commercial agreements.
  • Administering budgets for trade initiatives.
  • Organizing and facilitating agency training sessions, aircraft tours, and familiarization trips.
  • Participating in Travel Trade exhibitions and various sales events across the UK.
  • Updating partners on product modifications, promotions, and relevant news.
  • Staying informed about competitor offerings and industry developments.
  • Assisting the broader team with travel trade inquiries.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable airline position.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, along with advanced computer skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • A degree-level education.
  • Experience in budgeting.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in organizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A collaborative team player with a commitment to contributing positively to the team dynamic.
  • A proactive approach to work and a positive attitude.
  • A genuine passion for travel and Canada.
