Job Title: Trade Sales Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Sales Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a Trade Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to acquire travel agency partnerships, sourcing travel agents/agencies to work with, and assisting in the development of the commercial offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy to acquire travel agency partnerships and negotiate contracts.
  • Sourcing travel agents/agencies to work with and build relationships.
  • Assist in the development of the commercial offering, including product development and pricing strategies.
  • Implement travel agent training programs to ensure effective product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Devise agent fam trip visits to promote products and build relationships.
  • Devise agent incentive plans to motivate sales performance.
  • Continually build and develop trade relationships to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide feedback to the business on how to improve/ change vs the broader market.

Requirements:

  • A number of years in a trade relationship/sales role within the travel industry, specifically within the touring sector.
  • Excellent relationships with various travel agencies.
  • Understanding of commercial models of trade distribution.
  • Experience in managing at least one person.
  • Proficiency in digital business tools (Excel, Word, Google, etc.).
  • A self-starter, driven and autonomous.
  • Ability to set daily tasks and prioritize efficiently.
  • Excellent relationship management using all forms of communication.
  • Ability to write engaging emails with perfect spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Friendly, warm, and welcoming personality, very much a 'people person'.
  • Motivated by long-term targets and a salary plus bonus.
