Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Sales Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a Trade Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to acquire travel agency partnerships, sourcing travel agents/agencies to work with, and assisting in the development of the commercial offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy to acquire travel agency partnerships and expand our trade sales presence.
- Sourcing and building relationships with travel agents/agencies to increase sales and revenue.
- Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement commercial offerings that meet the needs of our trade partners.
- Implement travel agent training programs to enhance their knowledge of our products and services.
- Organize and lead agent fam trip visits to showcase our offerings and build relationships.
- Design and implement agent incentive plans to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to inform our trade sales strategy.
- Provide regular feedback to the business on opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Work closely with the product team to identify trading opportunities and bring them to life.
- Grow a team of account managers to provide UK and international coverage.
- Develop the technical requirements for B2B partnerships to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in trade sales or a related field within the tourism industry.
- Excellent relationships with various travel agencies and a deep understanding of commercial models of trade distribution.
- Management experience, with a track record of leading teams and driving results.
- Proficiency in digital business tools, including Excel, Word, and Google.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic, driven by long-term targets and a salary plus bonus structure.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to write engaging emails and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- A friendly, warm, and welcoming personality, with a strong focus on people management.
