We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Sales Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a Trade Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to acquire travel agency partnerships, sourcing travel agents/agencies to work with, and assisting in the development of the commercial offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy to acquire travel agency partnerships and grow revenue.
- Sourcing and building relationships with travel agents/agencies to increase sales.
- Collaborate with the product team to develop and implement commercial offerings that meet the needs of travel agencies.
- Implement travel agent training programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Design and execute agent fam trip visits to promote products and build relationships.
- Develop and implement agent incentive plans to drive sales and revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
- Provide regular feedback to the business on market trends and areas for improvement.
- Identify trading opportunities and work with the product team to bring them to life.
- Grow a team of account managers to provide UK and international coverage.
- Develop technical requirements for B2B partnerships to ensure seamless integration.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a trade relationship/sales role within the travel industry, specifically in the touring sector.
- Established relationships with various travel agencies.
- Understanding of commercial models of trade distribution.
- Proven experience in managing at least one person.
- Proficiency in digital business tools, including Excel, Word, Google, and social media.
- Self-starter with a driven and autonomous approach.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently.
- Excellent relationship management skills, including communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to write engaging emails with perfect spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Friendly, warm, and welcoming personality, with a strong focus on people skills.
- Motivated by long-term targets and a salary plus bonus structure.
