Job Title: Trade Sales Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Sales Manager to join our team at Travel Trade Recruitment. As a Trade Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to acquire travel agency partnerships, sourcing travel agents/agencies to work with, and implementing travel agent training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy to acquire travel agency partnerships and negotiate contracts.
  • Sourcing travel agents/agencies to work with and building relationships.
  • Assist in the development of the commercial offering and implement travel agent training.
  • Devise agent fam trip visits and agent incentive plans.
  • Continually build and develop trade relationships and be aware of the competitive landscape.
  • Provide feedback to the business on how to improve/change vs the broader market.
  • Help identify trading opportunities and work with the product team to bring them to life.
  • Grow a team of account managers over time, allowing for UK coverage followed by an international team.
  • Help develop the technical requirements for B2B partnerships.

Requirements:

  • A number of years in a trade relationship/sales role within the travel industry and specifically within the touring sector.
  • Excellent relationships with various travel agencies.
  • Understanding of commercial models of trade distribution.
  • Management experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficiency in digital business tools (Excel, Word, Google, etc.).
  • A self-starter, driven and autonomous, with the ability to set daily tasks and prioritize efficiently.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, using all forms of communication.
  • Ability to write engaging emails with perfect spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
  • Friendly, warm, and welcoming personality, with a strong 'people person' approach.
  • Motivated by long-term targets and a salary plus bonus.
