About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner Lead, responsible for nurturing and supporting newly qualified social workers in their first, second, and third year of practice.

As part of our Social Work Academy, you will offer reflective supervision, advice, guidance, demonstration of best practice, and bespoke development opportunities to our social workers. This unique role will enable you to advance your career while supporting the development of others.

About the Academy

The Social Work Academy is a 36-month programme designed to bring high-quality learning and development to newly qualified social workers. You will be part of a team that is committed to increasing the quality of support offered to families in Tameside, ensuring children are at the heart of everything.

As an Advanced Practitioner Lead, you will work closely with experienced practitioners to provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to our social workers. You will not be expected to hold your own caseload, allowing you to focus on mentoring and supporting our team.
