About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our Cared for Children service in Tameside. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a small caseload of complex cases and provide high-quality care and permanence planning for children.
  • Support the Team Manager in improving service delivery and provide a mentoring and coaching role for social workers.
  • Deputise for the Team Manager in chairing meetings and providing management oversight for cases.
  • Contribute to the development of staff learning and development and ensure the production of high-quality work.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior Social Work Practitioner or equivalent role.
  • High level of skills and knowledge in social care and child protection.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and creatively to achieve good outcomes for children.
