Job Summary
Tameside Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner Lead. This role is part of our new Social Work Academy, designed to support the development of newly qualified social workers.
About the Role
As an Advanced Practitioner Lead, you will be responsible for nurturing and supporting social workers in their early years of practice. You will offer reflective supervision, advice, guidance, and demonstration of best practice to help them grow and develop in their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality supervision and guidance to newly qualified social workers
- Develop and implement training programs to support the development of social workers
- Collaborate with experienced practitioners to ensure the effective delivery of the Social Work Academy
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support the work of social workers
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified social worker with a passion for supporting and developing others. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
