About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Pelvic Health team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our pelvic health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement therapy treatment plans for individual patients and groups of patients, working within agreed guidelines and protocols.
  • Carry out clinical assessments and implement relevant treatment programs, including therapeutic handling and the use of specialist equipment or tools.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and modernization of our services by participating in training and induction programs, audit and evaluation activities, and contributing to the development of a portfolio.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care, including communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient progress, recognize when adjustments to clinical intervention are necessary, and act accordingly, including liaison with qualified therapists.
  • Report effectively in both written and oral formats to the team and supervising therapists on patient performance and progress.
Requirements
  • Minimum of Level 5 Foundation Degree in a relevant area.
  • Experience working in a therapy setting with an in-depth knowledge of therapeutic principles.
  • Understanding of exercise rehabilitation principles and prescription.
  • Competent with using IT systems and completing patient records.
  • Able to motivate patients and work effectively as part of a team.
