In this role, you will be an integral part of our dedicated team, contributing to the development and well-being of young children.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Promote the welfare and safety of children, addressing any safeguarding issues with the designated supervisor.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of engaging play activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and external agencies to cater to the unique needs of each child.
  • Encourage children to make healthy lifestyle choices through interactive play.
  • Actively pursue Continuous Professional Development opportunities throughout your apprenticeship and beyond.
  • Utilize effective communication and knowledge of child development to engage with children, especially those needing additional support.
  • Support children during transitions, such as starting school or welcoming a new sibling, using your understanding of their individual needs.
  • Conduct respectful care routines, including feeding, nappy changing, and dental hygiene.
  • Engage in the completion of your apprenticeship, adhering to deadlines set by your Trainer Assessor and collaborating with your mentor to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Facilitate children's numeracy, literacy, and language development through a variety of play-based activities.

Skills Required:

  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Capability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • No formal entry qualifications required.
  • Desirable: Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English or equivalent.

Training Provided:

Your employer will outline your full role and responsibilities. Realise will equip you with comprehensive on-the-job training, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be integrated into your work schedule. You will work towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which encompasses:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours.
  • Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification.
  • Functional skills in Maths and English if necessary.

Career Prospects:
