Potato Store Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced individual to lead our Potato Store operations in Scarborough. As a key member of our Agriculture department, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our Potato Store, ensuring top-quality product delivery to our Plant.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Potato Supply & Operations Manager and Scheduling team to plan and execute on-site grading and storage.
- Manage the intake of product into stores, ensuring safe, quality-controlled intake and full traceability.
- Oversee the loading out of product to agreed plans, including liaising with Potato Receiving and the Schedulers.
- Take responsibility for the management of crop in store, including regular auditing to check quality, temperatures, shrink loss, and hot boxes.
- Identify potential issues regarding crop quality, storage availability, and suggest solutions or implement corrective actions as appropriate.
- Conduct regular safety audits, HACCP audits, and general monitoring to maintain high Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
- Own the training plan for Scarborough stores and ensure that training happens effectively.
- Experience of delivering results through people.
- Experience of working within potato stores.
- Experience of managing and sourcing supply in a fast-moving dynamic environment.
- Experience of administration and computer systems.
- Knowledge of stores processes, requirements, and best practice.
- Agricultural knowledge and knowledge of sampling.
- Knowledge of potato receiving and processes.
- Knowledge of scheduling.
