Role Overview: In the capacity of the Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager, you will oversee supply chain functions across Great Britain, ensuring efficient operations and strategic procurement in the area. Reporting directly to the Procurement Director for Great Britain, your role will be pivotal within the Freight & Logistics Procurement team, focusing on the UK and contributing to wider Indirect Sourcing strategies across Central Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee road transportation for finished goods under both cold and ambient conditions.
- Enhance warehousing strategies for optimal efficiency.
- Lead supply chain initiatives, including pallet sourcing and specialized development projects.
- Facilitate effective logistics for bulk potato distribution.
Requirements:
- Experience in Warehouse & Logistics Procurement within a dynamic FMCG environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Technologically adept with a focus on customer and data-driven approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for relationship building.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
Location: This position is based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
