Senior Clinical Fellow in Critical Care Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Fellow in Critical Care Medicine to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for delivering high-quality follow-up care to patients after critical illness.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing follow-up care to patients after critical illness, working closely with the multi-professional team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Developing and implementing a critical care follow-up service, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and reducing readmissions.
- Collaborating with consultants, senior critical care nurses, physiotherapists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participating in service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the critical care follow-up service.
- Developing and delivering training programs for junior medical and nursing staff on critical care follow-up.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- GMC registration
- MRCP/FRCA/MRCEM/FRCS or equivalent
- Minimum ST4 intensive care medicine (or equivalent)
- Experience in delivering outpatient care (any specialty)
We are looking for candidates with:
- Publications in critical care journals or in areas of special interest
- Abstracts/posters presented at national/international meetings
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training
- Evidence of delivery of training courses to junior medical and nursing staff
- Completion of audit or quality improvement projects
