We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Fellow in Critical Care Medicine to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to develop their skills and expertise in delivering high-quality critical care services to patients.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality critical care services to patients, including those with complex medical conditions and requiring intensive care.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Developing and implementing care plans to meet the individual needs of patients, including those with complex medical conditions and requiring intensive care.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have:
- GMC registration
- MRCP/FRCA/MRCEM/FRCS or equivalent.
- Minimum ST4 intensive care medicine (or equivalent).
The following criteria would be advantageous:
- Experience in delivering outpatient care (any speciality)
- Understanding and knowledge of research and ability to interpret research papers
- Publications in critical care journals or in areas of special interest.
- Abstracts/posters presented at national/international meeting.
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training.
- Experience of teaching multi-professional team members.
- Evidence of completion of audit or quality improvement project.
- Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to changing clinical environments.
