Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Fellow to join our Critical Care and Retrieval Medicine team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Senior Clinical Fellow, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of our critical care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to critically ill patients in our intensive care unit (ICU) and retrieval medicine service.
  • Lead clinical teams and make decisions on patient care, working closely with consultants and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development of our critical care services, including the design and implementation of new care pathways and protocols.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives, including the development of new treatments and therapies.
  • Teach and mentor junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, contributing to the development of our training programs.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and GMC registration.
  • Primary FRCA or equivalent qualification and completion of Stage 1 training in ICM/anaesthetics.
  • Completed a transfer course and clinical experience of transfers.
  • ALS certification.
Desirable Criteria
  • 12 months' experience in anaesthetics, emergency medicine, or acute medicine.
  • EDIC/EDAIC/FRCA/FICM certification.
  • APLS/EPLS certification.
  • ATLS certification.
  • PHEC/MIMMS certification.
  • Diploma in Retrieval and Transfer Medicine.
  • Diploma in Immediate Medical Care.
