Production Coordinator (12 month fixed term contract)

STV Studios Drama is a distinguished producer of high-quality drama, dedicated to crafting original content for a global audience. The Drama team is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join our Glasgow office on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful applicant will provide vital support to the office-based production team, contributing to various stages of our drama productions.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about television drama, capable of managing diverse workloads and meeting deadlines while adapting to shifting priorities. Relevant experience in a similar role is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and updating ongoing budgets, monitoring departmental expenditures, and managing purchase orders.
  • Handling general administration tasks, including database management, diary organization, and travel and accommodation bookings.
  • Updating the production manual and preparing necessary documents for distribution.
  • Managing the awards calendar and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Assisting with freelance crew management, including CV requests and availability tracking.
  • Keeping production schedules current and accurate.
  • Coordinating with IT to ensure staff and freelancers have the necessary accounts and equipment.
  • Monitoring industry updates and tracking changes in production rates.
  • Overseeing post-production processes and deliverables to broadcasters and in-house teams.
  • Facilitating production and post-production workflows to effectively manage our slate of projects.
  • Assisting with other company-related tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record as a Production Coordinator within a television production environment is essential.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with budgeting and familiarity with Movie Magic software is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and confident.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Teams.
  • Knowledge of filmmaking processes.
