Position Title: Video Producers (Remote)

Role Type: Volunteer

We are seeking a talented and imaginative VOLUNTEER eager to contribute to the climate action movement through engaging video production. The Video Producers will play a crucial role in executing the BCI Communications Strategy by crafting compelling video content. Ideal candidates should possess a keen eye for visual storytelling and a genuine enthusiasm for creating captivating media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the BCI Communications strategy;
  • Enhance the visibility of BCI among key audiences, both within and beyond the climate change policy sector;
  • Develop video content that aligns with storytelling objectives for various communication initiatives, including public relations, social media, websites, and newsletters;
  • Create motion graphics and animated videos based on scripts and collaborative discussions;
  • Produce illustrative sketches for review and approval;
  • Generate engaging and brand-consistent audio-visual materials (e.g., video explainers, interview features) for diverse media platforms;
  • Support BCI's internal and external events, including significant industry gatherings.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High level of creativity and a solid understanding of storytelling;
  • Proficient knowledge of communication channels (e.g., media outlets, social media);
  • Demonstrated adaptability;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational capabilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Understanding of graphic design principles such as typography, layout, and grids;
  • Proficient in industry-standard design software and tools, including Adobe After Effects, Animate, Photoshop, and Toon Boom;
  • Experience with Motion Graphics and Animations using various After Effects plugins;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and G Suite, along with experience using communication platforms;
  • Knowledge of social media management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, Houdini, Premiere Pro.

Educational Background:

  • A relevant degree or experience in video production and editing.

Relevant Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in a target-driven environment;
  • A portfolio showcasing strong visual communication work;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to advance projects using initiative.
