Our portfolio includes acclaimed works such as the BAFTA-winning TV movie 'Elizabeth Is Missing' and the award-winning BBC drama 'The Victim'.
The Drama team is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to join our Glasgow office on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful applicant will provide essential support to the office-based production team, working across STV Studios' diverse slate of drama projects at various stages of development and production.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about television drama, adept at managing diverse workloads, and capable of meeting deadlines while navigating shifting priorities. Relevant experience in a similar role is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update ongoing budgets, monitor departmental expenditures, and manage purchase orders.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including database management, diary organization, and travel and accommodation bookings.
- Revise the production manual and prepare necessary documents for distribution.
- Oversee the awards calendar and ensure timely submissions.
- Assist with freelance crew management, including CV requests and availability tracking.
- Ensure all production schedules are consistently updated.
- Coordinate with IT to guarantee that freelancers and staff have the necessary accounts and equipment.
- Stay informed on industry updates and monitor changes in production rates.
- Supervise post-production processes and deliverables to broadcasters and in-house teams.
- Facilitate production and post-production workflows to effectively manage the slate of projects.
- Assist with any other reasonable tasks as required by the company.
Skills and Experience:
- A proven track record as a Production Coordinator within a television production environment is essential.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with budgeting and familiarity with Movie Magic software is desirable.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask across a dynamic workload.
- Enthusiastic, self-assured, and self-motivated.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Teams.
- Understanding of filmmaking processes.
