Job Summary:

Benjamin Edwards is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of banking and finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple sites to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit accurate short-term cash flow forecasts on a weekly basis to inform business decisions.
  • Verify and reconcile debtor accounts, ensuring customer information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Process payment runs for approval by the Head of Finance, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Act as a gatekeeper to prevent direct postings to the nominal ledger, ensuring all transactions are supported by invoices.
  • Assist in responding to audit queries related to your areas of responsibility.
  • Contribute to treasury activities, including process development and improvement projects.
  • Support payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Collaborate with the purchase ledger team to manage postings, ordering, and inbox management.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Perform other duties and ad-hoc reporting/analysis tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Excel, with a strong working knowledge.
  • Experience with Xero is highly desirable.
  • A team player with a can-do attitude, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
