Job Title: Lead Fraud Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Fraud Analyst to join our Policy Fraud team at Acorn Insurance and Financial Services Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for driving counter fraud performance through detection and prevention at various stages of the insurance process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain counter fraud rules in SIRA, Iovation, and other counter fraud platforms to prevent and detect fraud.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to identify gaps and resolve errors within counter fraud platforms.
  • Report on policy fraud strategic and operational performance using SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Work with pricing to understand and find solutions to fraud and its impact on loss ratios.
  • Collaborate with wider business areas to understand and report on fraud risk.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies regarding Financial Crime, TCF, GDPR, and FCA regulations.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working with rule-based counter fraud systems.
  • Experience building and optimising policy fraud rule sets.
  • Exposure to organised fraud and application fraud risk and investigations.
  • Experience working with SQL, Excel, and/or Power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of insurance and underwriting best practice.
  • Demonstrable understanding of compliance legislation within the financial service sector.
  • Ability to work as part of a team with effective communication and good time management skills.
