Job Overview The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and execute reactive assignments across a diverse portfolio of clients. This includes serving as the principal consultant for investigations and related projects.
The position requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams of varying sizes, depending on the project requirements. As a client-facing role, it is essential to represent RSM as a trusted professional advisor in fraud matters. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in conducting criminal investigations related to fraud and financial crime, who are looking to engage with a variety of clients and assignments. Key responsibilities include delivering investigative services and assisting clients who have encountered fraud incidents, while adhering to criminal, disciplinary, and regulatory standards.
The successful candidate will uphold RSM's commitment to excellence and core values, ensuring the timely delivery of fraud investigations that meet criminal standards, preparing case files, and presenting cases in both magistrates and crown courts. Additional responsibilities will include client support and other tasks as required, demonstrating commercial awareness to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget. The role includes personal objectives, a career development plan, and individual performance targets, which will be reviewed periodically with your line manager. All work must comply with the Fraud Risk Services Standing Operating Procedure and relevant RSM policies and regulatory guidelines.
Candidates will be required to undergo enhanced DBS and propriety clearance upon appointment and throughout their employment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience in a fraud prevention, detection, or investigations team
- ACFS qualification
- Experience managing cases in criminal proceedings
- Ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload
- Strong knowledge of fraud and bribery legislation
- Proficient in IT and office software applications
- Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- PIP Level 2 Investigator (or equivalent)
