About Our Client

Company Overview: Join a prominent logistics organization that prioritizes safety and operational excellence. Collaborate with the Safety Manager and administrative staff to assist in the development and execution of safety frameworks across the organization. This is an Advisor-level position, offered on a permanent full-time basis with a competitive salary package up to $110k.

Job Responsibilities

Key Duties:

  • Work closely with local management to identify and spearhead initiatives aimed at improving safety measures.
  • Provide assistance for health and safety consultation processes within assigned locations.
  • Organize and actively engage in risk assessments to identify, manage, and reduce workplace and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with frontline teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, maintaining safety standards.
  • Lead inquiries into incidents and near misses, performing comprehensive analysis and follow-up actions.
  • Support the creation and execution of effective corrective action plans, offering guidance to management during implementation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in safety systems, overseeing incident reporting, investigations, audits, and necessary actions to assist business leaders.
  • Foster a positive safety culture by promoting awareness, engagement, and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Encourage the reporting of safety issues and suggestions for improvement, nurturing a culture of continuous enhancement.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, assess safety performance, and drive ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and present regular reports for management, emphasizing key safety metrics and areas for enhancement.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

  • Certification IV in Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in safety roles within logistics, supply chain, transport, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
  • Capability to obtain necessary security clearances.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, with a minimum of once per quarter.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and incident investigation.
