Role Overview

As an Interior Standards Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our trains meet rigorous cleanliness and maintenance standards. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks designed to enhance passenger comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on various train interior components, including seat covers, window films, armrests, table tops, and toilet fixtures.
  • Conduct thorough internal and external cleaning of trains, which may include graffiti removal.
  • Identify and address basic toilet system malfunctions.
  • Prepare trains for seasonal conditions by implementing winterization procedures, such as sanding operations to improve traction and safety, and ensuring optimal fluid levels.
  • Assist with depot/sidings winterization activities, including the application of anti-ice/de-icing products to walkways, roadways, conductor rails (under isolation), and snow clearance.
  • Maintain tooling and equipment by ensuring proper use and preparation at the start and end of each shift. Promptly report any faulty equipment and actively participate in maintenance procedures. Manage inventory levels of materials, machines, and tools, reporting any shortages promptly.
