Position Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to contribute to our Enhanced Rehabilitation and Recovery Pathway at Band 8b. This pathway encompasses both inpatient and community services aimed at supporting individuals facing persistent mental health challenges, including psychosis.

Our pathway is driven by psychological expertise, featuring a well-established and expanding team of psychologists. We are committed to developing innovative services, leveraging service evaluation and research to enhance our models and interventions. Our team has a strong track record of publishing in peer-reviewed journals and securing research funding. We maintain close collaborations with local universities, where qualified psychologists hold honorary lecturer positions. This role will provide opportunities for research, teaching, and supervision of trainee psychologists.

The ideal candidate will be a Clinical Psychologist passionate about service development, research, and innovative practices. While the role allows for flexibility across the pathway, the primary focus will be within the community rehabilitation team, which aids individuals with rehabilitation needs in a community context.

You will have the chance to advance your career through a structured learning journey designed to help you achieve your long-term objectives and leverage your strengths.

  • Facilitate robust supervision and clinical support for colleagues within the rehabilitation pathway regarding Clinical Psychology services.
  • Support the training, development, and implementation of agreed psychological, psychosocial, and psycho-educational intervention models as required.
  • Manage a clinical caseload and collaborate within a multi-professional, recovery-oriented framework to promote psychologically informed practices for individuals requiring clinical psychology services.
