Position Overview
At Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, we are dedicated to enhancing our approach to supporting individuals with relational and emotional challenges. Our focus includes the establishment of a Primary Care and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) hub aimed at fostering psychologically and trauma-informed practices.
We are seeking a qualified professional at Band 8a, or Band 7 on a preceptorship basis, to become part of our innovative pathway. This role offers the chance to engage in our evolving secondary care services and contribute to the development and implementation of the VCSE hub.
The Trust boasts a comprehensive service framework with psychologists in pivotal roles, including leadership positions. Our team includes pathway leads specializing in complex trauma, psychosis, and personality disorders, all supported by psychologists across various levels. We are committed to your professional growth through extensive training and supervision opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on addressing relational and emotional needs. You will collaborate with over 30 professionals, including a Consultant Psychologist, Principal Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Medical Psychotherapists, Peer Support Workers, and Mental Health Practitioners. Your role will involve providing direct and indirect interventions, facilitating both individual and group sessions, and offering supervision, training, and consultation.
Our practitioners are skilled in various therapeutic modalities, including Mentalization-Based Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Structured Clinical Management, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches, as well as integrative psychological methods.
You will have the opportunity to broaden your psychological expertise through diverse supervision avenues and ongoing professional development. We encourage the enhancement of your leadership and service development capabilities, supported by both internal and external training programs.
We maintain strong partnerships with academic institutions, allowing for involvement in teaching, trainee placements, and collaborative input.
