About the Role

The Rufford Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conservation Grants Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our conservation team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and delivery of our Rufford Small Grants Programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and assess grant applications to ensure they align with our guidelines and objectives.
  • Provide feedback to unsuccessful applicants and support successful grantees in their project delivery.
  • Collaborate with our conservation team to identify and support grantees in delivering in-person learning events and capacity-building initiatives.
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities at key events, including the Student Conference on Conservation Science and the International Congress for Conservation Biology.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 5 years' experience working in environmental or biodiversity conservation, preferably in an NGO or academic setting. You will possess excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
