Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Conservation Policy Officer to support the delivery of conservation policy activities at Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI). The successful candidate will work closely with the Conservation Policy Manager to coordinate and implement conservation policy initiatives, focusing on plant conservation and biodiversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of conservation policy strategies and initiatives
- Collaborate with international partners and stakeholders to advance plant conservation goals
- Contribute to the coordination of projects and programs related to plant conservation policy
- Provide technical assistance and support to BGCI members and partners on conservation policy matters
- Stay up-to-date with relevant conservation policy developments and trends
Requirements:
- Proven experience in conservation policy, project management, and international collaboration
- Strong understanding of plant conservation and biodiversity issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
