Position Overview

As a Chief Engineer specializing in Fire and Security Systems, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients. This position offers a company vehicle, pension plan, mobile device, uniform, and essential tools.

Compensation

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, plus bonuses and commissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team, focusing on development and performance.
  • Support engineers and senior engineers with training and development needs.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service to meet client expectations.
  • Conduct contract and design reviews.
  • Manage company vehicle usage and oversee administrative tasks such as timesheets and expense reports.
  • Promote the achievement of service level targets and other customer requirements.
  • Evaluate engineer performance and ensure compliance with job descriptions.
  • Collaborate with HR and management to identify training needs and track employee development.
  • Foster successful performance within the sales team through support and motivation.
  • Provide regular coaching and guidance to engineers to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Coordinate with sales and national accounts teams to ensure effective operations.
  • Assist branches and management in meeting financial targets set by the directors.
  • Implement and oversee financial forecasting on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Manage and resolve client and contractual engineering complaints within the designated region.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in CCTV, Fire, Access Control, and Intruder Systems. A full UK driving license and a clean criminal record are essential, as all engineers must undergo DBS checks.
