The Role

As a member of the Credit Control Team, you will be responsible for collecting and minimizing the overall debt levels while managing client accounts on a temporary to permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and maintaining a ledger valued at up to 3 million, encompassing approximately 60 clients.
  • Achieving targets for monthly receivables while minimizing bad debt.
  • Collaborating with sales Account Managers concerning overdue or disputed accounts.
  • Identifying high-risk accounts in advance and monitoring customer payment trends and credit risk.
  • Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, including setting credit limits and payment terms.
  • Creating new client accounts and ensuring proper setup in the system.
  • Contacting new clients to guarantee accurate onboarding.
  • Performing reconciliations and allocations, with the ability to reconcile accounts.
  • Managing customer relationships, ensuring effective communication and resolution of credit issues.
  • Responding promptly to all client inquiries.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with our clients.
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders within the organization.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with credit control systems such as Credit Safe, Netsuite, or Bullhorn (preferred).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Persistent and enthusiastic problem solver.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative.
