Michigan School Public Relations Association

Special Education Instructor – Full-Time

The Michigan School Public Relations Association is seeking exceptional candidates for the role of Special Education Instructor. The successful candidate will provide tailored educational experiences for a diverse array of students with varying special education requirements. This position involves managing a self-contained classroom focused on students with cognitive challenges.

Essential Qualifications :

Valid elementary teaching certification with a Special Education Endorsement (SA, SB, SC, SE, SK, SL, SM, SP, SV) is mandatory. Endorsement in Cognitive Impairment is desirable. Must demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, and a problem-solving mindset.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working with students in a special education setting. Ability to work effectively with fellow educators. Strong connections with parents and guardians. A positive and growth-oriented attitude. Proven advocacy for students with disabilities. Experience in developing and executing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Knowledge of various intervention strategies and teaching methodologies. Excellent communication abilities. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
