About the Role

FTI Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team in the EMEA region. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance Department, you will play a critical role in supporting and assisting our operations in the region, with a focus on Europe (including the UK).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategy and growth of FTI's operations in the EMEA region, with a focus on Europe.
  • Assist the Director of Risk and Compliance, EMEA in designing, developing, and directing FTI's risk and compliance function in the EMEA region.
  • Advise the firm on compliance requirements in the EMEA region, focusing on Europe, and implement and improve policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of compliance policies, standard operating procedures, training, auditing, and monitoring activities to ensure an effective risk and compliance program throughout the EMEA region.
  • Support the design, testing, and rollout of new systems, policies, and training programs in connection with various legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with colleagues in the Legal, Risk, and Compliance function and act as a point of contact for the EMEA region in relation to all risk and compliance issues and queries.
  • Draft guidance documentation for practitioners and the Risk and Compliance function to ensure consistent approaches.
  • Horizon scan for new legal and regulatory developments and assist with the implementation of these.
  • Assist with other ad hoc issues as and when they arise, including the conduct of investigations, audits, and regulatory requests.
  • Support the EMEA legal team with legal issues and potentially deal with some legal issues if the legal team is at capacity.

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience working in a risk and compliance role in a similar industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including anti-money-laundering regulations, anti-bribery and corruption laws, sanctions, and insider trading.
  • Demonstrated experience with the review of new laws and regulations and operationalization of said laws and regulations.
  • Fluency in English across all forms of communication.
  • Law firm or legal background would be highly beneficial.
  • Any other languages spoken will be a bonus.
