We are currently seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our well-established accounts team as we navigate a transformative phase to bolster our global expansion.

Role Overview

As part of our Sheffield-based accounts team, which oversees six UK locations and seven international sites, you will become an integral member of a dynamic department responsible for a variety of accounting functions. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing credit control for both UK and international clients
  • Conducting thorough credit assessments for new and existing clients
  • Following up on outstanding payments and addressing invoice-related inquiries
  • Allocating customer payments, including complex discount arrangements
  • Collaborating with sales teams across the UK and abroad
  • Preparing sales receipt forecasts
  • Identifying and reporting debtor issues to management
  • Performing month-end reconciliations and processing debit and credit notes
  • Overseeing customer rebate management and analysis

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Our company embraces a flexible working policy, with office hours extending from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience and demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Proficiency in various IT systems (currently utilizing MS Office, Power BI, and E8, our custom ERP system), with strong Excel capabilities and a positive attitude towards change
  • Adept at working both collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal oversight
  • A flexible mindset coupled with excellent organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all business areas
  • Experience in cash management, daily banking, and general ledger tasks to provide support within the accounts team
  • Competence in ledger management and fundamental accounting principles (e.g., double-entry)
  • Ability to recognize and implement process improvements
  • Experience working with a group of companies or across multiple regions, facilitating collaboration with international colleagues
